With all the talk about Peyton Manning's MVP-like play the past nine weeks and the Colts' big win streak, rarely mentioned is a terrible, TERRIBLE game the Colts' offense had at Cleveland. Let's look.

    Manning's Stats: 15-21 for 125 yards, 0 TDs, 2 INTs.
Rushing offense: 90 yards on 29 carries for a 3.1 yard average (not terrible). Addai accounted for 15 carries and 57 yards, while Rhodes got 11 carries and 35 yards.

Manning and Addai each also lost fumbles.

    215 total yards, 27:46 TOP.

All this against a Cleveland defense that gave up an average of 356.5 yards/game--204.6 y/g passing, and 151.9 y/g rushing.

All this in the middle of their winning streak and Manning's "MVP-like" play, and after they had beaten teams like Pittsburgh and San Diego.

Now obviously, players, coaches, entire units have bad days. This was clearly a bad day for the Colts. This shows that even though the Colts' offense claims it is past its early-season struggles, they are still capable of turning in a horrendous performance against a sub-par opponent on the road.

So don't buy into the media hype that the Colts are now invincible. They aren't. If the Chargers' defense can play half as well as the Browns' defense, they have a great chance at winning, because the Chargers' offense is one hell of a lot better than that Cleveland offense and will score a lot more than 6 points.

The point, though, is that they're still capable of turning in a bad performance, despite everything. We can make that happen, and if we do we win.

We're gonna take these guys. They're weak against the run. We have to hit them, HARD, right in the mouth. Set Mathis & Freeney back on their heels so PR can have time. Sanders health and our OL performance are keys here - even with LT dinged we have a good stable of backs.

We'll win the ST battle. Scifres & Sproles are way better than anything the colts can muster from their ST units.

Can't give up big plays. Tackle hard & sure, take good angles, hurry Manning as much as you can. He gets the ball out quick - our DLs need to keep their hands up if they can't reach him. ILBs - make them pay across the middle. Knock the snot outta somebody. :icon_evil:

If Rivera does his due diligence so that our D can exploit the weaknesses the Browns exposed, then we most certainly have a chance. I don't buy into inevitability either and it's not like we haven't beaten them before either.

The media just loves the potential for brothers either playing against each other or possibly back to back rings for the same family. Dynasties and all that.

True, but they barely beat Houston (twice) 31-27 & 33,27.
    They lost to Green Bay.
They sqeeked by the Patriots 18-15.
They only beat Detroit by 10, 31-21.
and didn't play well against Jacksonville 31-24.

These guys are beatable, and we're the ones that know how to do it.
