Our special teams are the entire reason other teams have even been in the game against us. THey're killing us just giving away big plays and free points! We used to have sporles running kicks back and now he has trouble breaking the 30? We lose Kassim and now suddenly everyone just sucks and can't block or tackle or even run? I don't get it? WHY?

They are making e sick. I can't believe how badly they are ruining our season. Just onside kick every kickoff for the rest of the year.

This loss is on them. To wit:

2 returns for TD's, nearly gave 2 more
    Penalty on punt
    Fumble on kickoff

Heads need to roll for this...

Kaeding is a better tackler than cromartie since at least he doesn't run away from the ball!!! Can you really say aren't better by releasing cromartie?

KO...yes. We're kind of missing him right now.

Cromartie? Really? Have you seen what he has (not) done with the Jets? Come on...

Come on. At least he got floyd, sproles, mcneil and many more back. Besides KO wanted to be a RECEIVER. We didn't have that opportunity for him.

Patrick Crayton is not happy with San Diego's special teamers
Posted by Gregg Rosenthal on September 26, 2010 10:18 PM ET
When the Cowboys struggled over the last few years, wide receiver Patrick Crayton wasn't afraid to point out exactly where they needed to improve. Joining a new team in San Diego hasn't changed his penchant for brutal honesty.

On Sunday, San Diego's league-worst special teams took the brunt of Crayton's criticism after Seattle upset the Chargers 27-20 on the strength of two Leon Washington kick return touchdowns.

"Right now, [special teams] coach [Steve] Crosby is [ticked] off. I don't blame him. The guys who are sitting in the meetings are not taking him seriously when he tells you to do a certain thing on a kickoff," a frustrated Crayton said. "He's been in this league I don't know how many years. He's been around a while for a reason, obviously. You have to take this stuff seriously."

Crosby is upset because he knows he's on the hot seat. The Chargers' special teams also cost them a game in the season opener in Kansas City.

Without a dominant defense, the Chargers can't afford to have the worst special teams group in the league. Through three weeks, that's exactly what they have.

Great. Seems like Crayton caught locker room cancer from TO. Now he's spreading it here too.

I can tell you right now that if Crayton said this...I believe it and makes for a huge issue. The last time players ( a player ) acted this way they got rid of the coach and not the arrogant/selfish player/players and it cost us a lot as far as playoffs and superbowls go....kept the player and not the coach and the next season after people are happy the player is gone....personally I wish we still had that coach...(Bradley)

Cancer? Crayton's RIGHT. Crayton contributed POSTIVELY to this game. He didn't brag about that either.

One thing that amazes me from afar is the Punters and kickers piss poor eforts to tackle, do they no practice tackling at practise?

Well, I just got home from attending the game. During the whole five hour drive home, I kept thinking "how could our special team be SO BAD! We had players knocked on their ***, over pursuit, horrible attemps at arm tackling. We just got beat person to person on every special team play!

Who ever is responsible for coaching the special teams needs to go. When all 11 players on special teams play so bad, I look at the coaching as the problem. All 11 players can't really be that bad....right?

If Nate was the only issue why weren't we having these problems the past few years?

If the punter/kicker is about to tackle somebody your ST coverage has already failed.

Let Scifres handle kick off duty. At the very least he's demonstrated an ability to tackle...

I'm pretty sure they tried that already and it didn't work out so well.

Granted, I'm only parroting what I was told when I posed the question about using Scifres for kickoffs.

It was 3 hours for me. Seattle to Vancouver, WA. That was a brutal drive.

In other news, I loved my response to Seahawks fans as they left the stadium talking smack.

The blank and confused looks from me saying: "We'll see you in Dallas. Get past the Saints." was priceless. A bunch of stupid fans.

I even had one Seahawk fan tell me: "At least we've been to the Superbowl recently." And I told him: "Too bad you got your arse kicked by the Steelers. Oh, by the way, we've been to the Big Dance too." Then quietly: "We got our arse handed to us by the Niners."
