8 receptions in the last 4 games. None last night. 4 100 yard games in 2007 and 0 in 2008. :icon_shrug:

LT on the ground, Gates throug the air... when we stray fom this formula we usually lose.

I f we could only play he Raides ten times every season then Norv would look like a genius.

I was shocked all night last night that my child was not in the action. A win is a win, but why isn't Gates dominating at this point?

This offense flows through Ladanian Tomlinson, Philip Rivers, and Antonio Gates. Norv tried to get away from that and look where it got the team. But if it can't flow through one of these guys it better flow through the remaining guys. When it doesn't it is a loss, always will be.

Not sure if everyone is just avoiding it, but the few times it was thrown to Gates last night, he dropped them. Granted, he wasn't targeted as much as he used to when we had no wide outs, but he was targeted. Two for sure I remember as him just blowing the catches. I think he had an off night last night.

Didn't he dropped a couple in the first series against Atlanta?

The problem isn't where but how.

We don't have anyone on this coaching staff that knows how to adjust.

We continue to run the same plays at the same time every week.

Then throw the damn ball down the field and hope someone catches it

I do not agree with that philosophy

I was thinking the same thing. The only thing I could think of for last night's game was that Rivers wanted to avoid throwing towards Asomugha who was probably covering Chambers since he's still our #1 wide out. :icon_shrug:

I agree. I despise the going long on 3rd and shorts. We got away with 2 against the Raiders because they are the Raiders. One was a PI on Asomugha!. Where is Naanee, where is Gates, where is Chambers!?. Please for the love of all things holy throw a 5 or 6 yard pass on 3rd and short or I am going to puke!. :icon_evil:

I agree with both quotes. Why can't we throw over middle short for the first down at least every once in awhile ???

Keep in the PI didn't matter, Jackson caught it. but I agree whole heartedly. Yes, Rob Ryan is an idiot so he stacked the line, any OC would have had thoughts of going long but certain (good) coaches would ditch that mindset and go for easy yards. We're lucky it was the Raiders or we could've gone 3 and out on a 3rd and 2. No run, the line was stacked, but pass that mofo like a screen or a quick pass on a short route. Though, look through the film this year and I think passing for more than ten yards on 3rd down is a common call.

Norv obviously wants to stretch the field more this year. And let's remember - Gates was hurt early on & may still be suffering with that injury some. That meant that other receivers started getting more looks from PR & getting into a rhythm with them vs. Gates.

I'd certainly like to see him used more but that doesn't seem to Norv's game. Yet another indictment.

Chambers, Floyd, Jackson, Naanee, Manumaleuna, Gates, and now even Davis... You expect him to manage all of that? :icon_shrug:

He had a tough enough time getting Hester involved (before Tolbert got hurt). :icon_eek:

I agree.... As Warren Sapp said, (WBTW played on the the same raturds team that norv coached) "Norv Turner can't do more than 2 things at one time.
