Im gunna say our rookie WR's will push EP out the door next year. NaaNee and Davis look like they can help us out...this year. EP comes back prolly week 7. Does he have a spot?

I get the same feeling. You just never know with injuries though.

The rooks looked great. VJ needs to hang on to the ball and so does MF, although I do think MF showed some very good progress.

Floyd is the man this year. VJ is the penciled in #1, but Floyd has got some moves after the catch.

Yep, as I stated in another thread a few weeks ago, I think MF will have a much bigger impact than some of the other vets. He just needed to get more meat on those bones which he did.

Yeah I am rooting for Naanee, Davis (I loved it when they referred to him as "Buster") and Floyd. They played great, and I could live with VJ being our #4 :icon_eek:

Funny that when we sucked it was because it was preseason but if someone did well than that part counted.

As for the WR's, VJ is the clear #1. Davis looked good in limited play. Floyd has some nice grab but also had an inexcusable drop that would have netted a first down.

Parker ain't going anywhere. He's our most experienced WR and the one that Philip, at this point trusts the most.

The patriots don't even have enough roster spots for the WR's they currently have.

I love EP, but if he went to either one of those teams, I'd never forgive him. And if he does go there, I hope he plays like he did in the NE Playoff game....

Yep, inquiring minds want to know. F, at this point, I'm penciling in MF or Davis ahead of VJ.

Seriously though, once the regular season starts, no excuses. VJ needs to start acting like the #1 WR.

Yeah, VJ has the potential, but has to hold on to the frickin rock after the catch. Madden made an interesting point though that both VJ and MF are big fast targets, but can't get that separation that an elite WR needs. I agree with that. However MF looked pretty good. We need them to both step up and stay HEALTHY this year if we're going to make that SB run. Hopefully Buster and Legoland can step up and give us that separation to make some much needed catches. Those young WR's are going to be a factor now and definitely for the future of this franchise. Chandler & Weddle looked good too. AJ is the man. :icon_toast:

Throwing Davis in the slot will make a huge impact. Dare I say, putting Davis in for VJ and then Legoland Nanee as the slot sounds even nicer.

Just kidding...all you VJ fans don't get your panties in a bunch. I realize it's just been one game.

EP has one bad game (granted, at the worst possible time) and some of you want to run him out of town, he's been nothing but clutch during his stay in San Diego, making first down after first down, I say keep him and let the young guys learn from him.

What does that have to do with EP?

He is a role player and an important one. He may not be suited to a starting role but the young guys can learn from him.

I concur. He is one of the best possession receivers around. People underrate him, but he has been consistently a go to guy on third down, along with Gates and LT. The playoffs was a team loss, so let's get past it. Most of the blame really lies with Marty, anyway. All his teams lost in the playoffs.

Good point. I really like EP. I hope they don't dump him. Other than the NE meltdown, if it wasn't for some of those clutch 3rd down catches he made during the season, we wouldn't be 14-2. Dude does give everything he has and plays like it's his last game. I mean, if he didn't make the Charger squad awhile back, he would have been bagging groceries still. He'll come back from his surgery and be as productive as usual.

Someone asked who our #1 reciever was. I answered their question.

What does questioning my post have to do with Eric Parker?
