I am like everyone else when I say I want an outside linebacker in the first or second of the draft. I have been trying to find as much info on the players this year.

Besides the players not expected to be there for the Chargers these are the guys I heard the most about.

    Ron Lewis http://letsgosandiego.blogspot.com/2012/03/lewiss-stock-continues-to-rise.html

    Vinny Curry http://letsgosandiego.blogspot.com/2012/03/curry-dominates-at-marshall-pro-day.html

    Nick Perry http://letsgosandiego.blogspot.com/2012/03/chargers-likely-in-pursuit-of-uscs.html

    Whitney Murcilus http://letsgosandiego.blogspot.com/2012/03/mercilus-impresses-during-illinois-pro.html

    Andre Branch http://letsgosandiego.blogspot.com/2012/03/branch-solid-at-clemson-pro-day.html

I am assuming there is no chance to get the guy from Alabama, Ingram and the guy from Carloina. So i ask who is the best of the ones I posted

I have no idea, all of them have negatives.

Mercilus - Very good burst off the line and some decent moves, but a terrible run defender. I see him peaking as a Shaun Phillips level player, very good, but never great.
Perry - Easily the best athlete of the group, good burst, better run defender than Mercilus, but the lack of actuall pass rush moves (after the English experiment) has me gun shy to say this is the next Clay Matthews.
Branch - Very inconsistant off the line, to the point where I wonder if he actually cares about being on time. But when he does get a good jump he may be the best pass rusher of the bunch due to his ability to finish. Plays in position but gets overpowered too often because he stands up too much.
Curry - Solid player all around, but not a great athlete, don't think he has much upside.
Lewis - Quick off the snap but no pass rush moves to speak of. He's dependent on physical talent at this point, which is not inspiring to me.

A guy I would add to this list....

Chandler Jones - Very quick off the snap, freakishly long arms that keep OTs at bay, has good rip and swim moves, played a lot of 5-tech so he's a solid run defender. But his negative is glarring, his lack of agility, top speed, and experience standing up will probably keep him a 4-3 DE. Still a fascinating prospect, if we went somewhere else in round 1 I'd be happy to see us take him at 50.
