I, along with a "few" others, keep thinking the Saints will come back to earth this year.

    8-8....? :icon_shrug:

If it weren't for the crapy talent in the NFC I'd agree with you, but I still think they'll come back some

I saw those odds on another site. over under for win this season 10½? You've got to be kidding. I'll take the over on that all the way to the bank.

I don't really know if it's going to happen, but I'd love to see Romo fall on his face. I am so sick of romomania or whatever stupid thing it is.

    :)

I saw this article at another forum and I still can't believe this:

I saw Cutler last year too, and I wasn't overwhelmed. What's with the man-love? Is this writer a closet donkey homer?

I agree with most of these over/unders, comments on the ones I disagree with.

    • Arizona Cardinals. Over/under 7.

    • Atlanta Falcons. Over/under 7½. under, the Vick thing is going to turn into a circus, it will affect the team.

    • Baltimore Ravens. Over/under 9.

    • Buffalo Bills. Over/under 6.

    • Carolina Panthers. Over/under 9.

    • Chicago Bears. Over/under 10. Over, thier division blows.

    • Cincinnati Bengals. Over/under 9.

    • Cleveland Browns. Over/under 6.

    • Denver Broncos. Over/under 9½. Overrated, under

    • Detroit Lions. Over/under 6.

    • Green Bay Packers. Over/under 7½. Under

    • Houston Texans. Over/under 6½.

    • Indianapolis Colts. Over/under 10½. Over

    • Jacksonville Jaguars. Over/under 9.

    • Kansas City Chiefs. Over/under 7½. Under, I think they are going to go into a nose-dive

    • Miami Dolphins. Over/under 8. Under, Cam is in over his head

    • Minnesota Vikings. Over/under 6½.

    • New England Patriots. Over/under 11½. As much as it hurts I say, over.

    • New Orleans Saints. Over/under 9.

    • New York Jets. Over/under 8.

    • Oakland Raiders. Over/under 5. I just do not see how, under

    • Pittsburgh Steelers. Over/under 9.

    • San Diego Chargers. Over/under 10½. OVER!!!

    • San Francisco 49ers. Over/under 8. Over, they are on the way up

    • Seattle Seahawks. Over/under 9.

    • St. Louis Rams. Over/under 7½.

    • Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Over/under 7.

    • Tennessee Titans. Over/under 7.

    • Dallas Cowboys. Over/under 9. A tough number. Sorry, though, Cowboys fans. I will believe Wade Phillips can coach a winner when I see it. I say under.

    • New Orleans Saints. Over/under 9. Did you watch the Saints last season? This is a developing team, and that number is too low. Over.

That is strange, because I would've picked the under for the Saints. I'm thinking 7-9, and I'll be very surprised if I'm wrong about this.

It basically means if you think they'll do better or worse than that number of wins.

for instance, the Chargers at 10 1/2 if you think they'll win 11 or more games then you take the over, if you think they'll win 10 or fewer you take the under

I don't think it's impossible for the Donks to have 10 wins, imo the Chiefs and Raiders will suck so they might get 4 wins there then they

I think they can beat Detroit, Houston, Tennessee, Buffalo, Minnesota and Green Bay.

If they lose to one of them I could see them upsetting a team, like the Bears. I know people don't like Cutler but they've had Jake Plummer as their QB and still won games.

It's a betting prop offered by sports books. You are betting that a team will either be over or under the number. In the Chargers case, the number is 10.5, so if you think they will win more than that many games, you bet over.

My Raider fan friend keeps telling me the Chargers will come back to Earth this year, and that the Raiders will be vastly improved. So, of course I offered to take the over on the Chargers, and the under on the Raiders (their number is 5). I haven't heard back from him yet.

Me too, Exodus. I am sick of hearing about how great Romo is and how much chemistry he has with Terrell Owens. And Cowboy fans keep telling me he is underrated!

Kev - I feel the same way about Cutler. He took over a team positioned for the playoffs and lost. He hasn't proven anything and Shanarat has not ever developed a good young QB. Elway does not count. The mind games Ratty plays cannot be good for a young QB.

Cutler definitely has talent, but he made some throws that should have/could have been picks that bounced off defenders into the arms of his receivers last season.

    Cool thread.

I think the easiest money on the board is on St. Louis. Bulger will be one pissed off MF this year and out to prove something. Jackson is an animal. Holt is Holt.

I think they can cruise into 9 wins.

He's going to continue to get sucked off because he is the QB of the Cowboys. It was pretty unbelievable that NFL Network did a Romo special mid season last year. But hey, seven of the Cowboys' sixteen games are on prime time, so why should we be surprised?

And that is why the Raiders over/under is higher then it should be...every year. As we all know, Raider fans are morons. A fool and his money.

Jaisus! I wish I had loose hundred grand to dump in Vegas. I'm thinking Detroit will do better. New Orleans being in the NFC makes them likely to be in the same place as last season. Chicago will do worse. Atlanta might not be as bad off as some people think without Vick. They have access to guys who can actually play pro QB, and not perpetual ACC ball, or whatever the hell conference that rotten bastard played in.

I gotta disagree w/ yoiu TK.

I think the Saints are for real. I'd take the over, but not for much.
