I know that nobody has a real answer so this is just going by opinion.

Denver said "no way" to a new stadium at first but after back to back Super Bowl wins, they said "let's do it!!!"

From what I understand, one of the Chula Vista projects will come down to a voter's ballot. I'm afraid that a **it season will have some voter's bailing. :icon_evil:

No because frankly, if the Spanos' wanted to leave they would have already negotiated and left with another city. That they haven't suggests they won't. And there's been no change in the actions of the county with our last few ****** games.

the vote would be nov 2008 right? so a bad 2008 season could have a bigger impact

I say no, it won't help but I don't think it will hurt, if the Spanos wanted to leave they could do it with most fans blaming the city and not them

I believe that Spanos wants to stay but that's not the issue. The issue is a new stadium approval.

The Arizona Cardinals just got themselves a new stadium built by the city and voters' approval.

Tell me, when was the last time they even had a winning season, much less make the playoffs?

The key is to expound on the other virtues and possibilities that a new stadium complex will bring. Focus not on football but activities that EVERYONE can take advantage of and enjoy, hopefully year-round.

Then you get the voters on board.

I am aware of all that.
But there A LOT who are just currently jumping on this wagon.
That was one of the reasons our new mayor is in office.

Well, San Diego's Mayor will have nothing to say about it now.

It's all Chula Vista and Oceanside's thang.

Fortunately, CHula Vista's Mayor is more open to a new stadium, and doesn't have to deal with a tyrannical dictator of a city lawyer in Aguirre.

I doubt that one season would have that profound an effect on the stadium outcome, should it come to a vote. For that matter, it is still too early to bail on the season, but there's water sloshing around the keel bolts.
