I know, I know, I'm feeding the beast. 10 minutes after the Saints won, guess what the announcers were talking about?

That's right.... ESPN has something to speculate on for the next 6 months. Every single time there's a boring day in sports, Brett Favre retirement talk will come up. Every time. Every SINGLE time. I hope you're ready for this. I hope you like to wonder if Brett Favre is going to retire or not. I hope you like hearing talking heads talk about Brett Favre and whether or not he'll retire in 2010.

Brace yourselves, because here it comes.

I hope he comes back, as it seems year and year, he is able to top the previous year's epic fail.

I mean, I know the Bolts choked, but the way Favre lost that game was EPIC.

:icon_rofl: All he had to do was slide or throw it out of bounds! THEY HAD THE GAME. What a fitting ending to a 6-fumble performance by the Vikings.

Favre had 15 yards of open field in front of him and would have been near the 20, Longwell never misses a 40-yard field goal and has proven to be a clutch kicker time and again!

Anyone see Favre's press conference? He looked beat up. Obvious bruises on his face. He'll hold the NFL hostage again. But I don't think he'll come back.

I think it's gotten to the point that the *****ing and complaining about Favre coverage is worse than the coverage itself.

I can't go to any sports related forum, or even facebook without finding a thread whining about Favre coverage, to include the pending coverage we might see in the offseason.

His exit from Green Bay happened in similar fashion. INT in OT to send the Giants to the Super Bowl, last pass he threw as a Packer.

Who says lightning can't strike twice (no pun intended)?

I know, as far as I see it, it DID strike twice, and it never gets old. :)

I'm sure he will consider that in his decision.

If he isn't hurt, and if he has pretty much the same team around him next season, why retire? All he knows and loves is football. Well...that and Wrangler jeans.

He may not retire, but he will not tell everyone that he is coming back until after training camp, which is what he has done for the last 4 years. He isn't a team players, and isn't willing to put in the time and hard work the rest of his team is doing during training camp

Like I said. He will sign when some other QB gets injured in the season. Watch someone like matt schaub get injured and farve replace him.

He will know what he's going to do long before he tells anyone. That way he can miss training camp, put feelers out for a team in need, and jump. I've never been a fan of his, so I really don't care. He should have run for some yardage, slid and put his team in a position for a FG.

Actually, it has struck thrice  well kinda...

Last pass as a Packer, Jet AND Viking = INT.

The real question isn't if he will retire... it is when will he "un-retire".

PS- I bet he heads to the Broncos.

Favre needs to go. After he threw that pass with 20 seconds left, he is still the same 'ole Interception machine as always.

Last pass with Green Bay was an Int in the Championship game in OT. Last pass with Minnesota was a STUPID pass with 20 seconds to go in regulation.

I'm sick of Favre, sick of Manning, sick of Brady.

Huh? Maybe you need to stop watching NFL football.

You really ought to be sick of your team handing away playoff games.....why is your fury directed at three QBs who had nothing whatsoever to do with what the Chargers didn't do this year? You are familiar with the psychological phenomoenon "projection" I presume.
