The Raiders are so bad all they can do is improve, but I think it's gonna take more than a couple of good new players for them to be any kind of a threat.

I wonder who we're going to pick....

I think this was a very good pick for them

They need a QB to build the team around, and he has loads more POTENTIAL then Quinn and if nothing else, its going to make it harder for small players to sack him (you really think a CB blitz is going to be able to bring him down? what about Donnie?)

Heard an interesting stat on Thursday about the Raiders QB's...

Last year they only had 6 TD passes and were sacked 78 times. :icon_eek:

They better shore up that o-line or Russel will have a rough year.

If he is willing to work at being the best he can be, he will be a very good player but thats the question mark about him.

He wont help much as a rookie if they throw him out there.

Jammer could bring him down but i dont think he has a sack in his career.

The raiders f uped last year not taking a QB in the first round. They should of taken Lineart or Cutler. Instead they grabbed a safety. They already have a QB in Walters, who pretty much had the same numbers Rivers did in college. Now they take another Qb that they are going to have to wait a couple of years to get his feet wet. Without an offensive line, Russell is going to have to rely on his 60 yard throws from his knees. They f up again in this draft. Not sure how they are going to sign russell with a salary cap they have.

    Charlie Frye goes 6' 4", 230. I don't understand your point. :icon_shrug:

It's clear to anyone with functioning eyes, that Frye is taking a dive cause he knows Phillips is coming up behind him.

Donnie's just along for the ride, like usual.

No, it is clear to anyone watches the game again, that Donnie threw Frye around like a rag doll on that play. Shaun Phillips tried to sneak in and get credit for half a sack by touching Frye's ankle. Luckily the scorer could see that the play was 100% Donnie.
