...I found these "Wonderlick" average scores as presented by Paul Zimmerman. I think it's interesting how the averages sway higher towards the offense and in particular the big boys. I know that the Bengals Harvard grad Pat McInally (punter/receiver) in the 70's scored the only perfect 50 score. What's the lowest score you've ever heard of?

    Offensive tackle - 26
    Center - 25
    Quarterback - 24
    Guard - 23
    Tight end - 22
    Safety - 19
    Linebacker - 19
    Cornerback - 18
    Wide receiver - 17
    Fullback - 17
    Halfback - 16

You get 1 pt just for spelling your name correctly at the top of the test...

Of course, most people lose 3 pts when they have to spell "Wonderlic" at the end. :icon_wink:

(this could be an urban myth)

It's been reported that the lowest score was a 4... by Brent Fullwood (FB) from Auburn.

You guys can go crazy with the list below. It contains Wonderlic scores of college QBs entering the NFL draft from the 80s to the present. I can't say it's accurate, but based on what I remember, e.g. Hugh Millen's high score, Vince Young's low score, it might be reliable. I think it might explain a couple of disappointing careers and why some people mysteriously dropped during the draft.

I also remember a running back who attributed his low score, 4?, to being thrown off after the second question.

    And Cutler got a 26.

Rivers is a smart guy. That's another one of his intangibles that outweighs his less than Brett Favre-like arm strength.
