    Hey Tyce...

I am now accepting congratulations for winning the Pitch Howlers League. My seven point lead in the standings is insurmountable with only one match day remaining.

Al Abbas has a one point lead in the World Challenge League... (so that could be a second title).

Also I have made the final in one of the three numbered leagues we joined. :D

Ya ya, congrats Mr Abbas. You certainly had my number this year.

I'll be looking towards the challenge next year.

For your winnings, I propose a Toronto FC game, tickets on me.

That's the spirit sir. The Pitch Howlers can't be a one off.

    Fantastic! Thanks.

Well ... Chelsea just won another trophy. Great header by Ivanovic. A nice little bobble for Rafa's CV.

Only Fresh2Death will fall off next year, but I have at least one person to add.

We'll have to find a game that will work.

Fresh2Death are relegated. It is a week to week game and you have to play it by using the free transfers and wild cards to keep from fielding a team with injured, benched, suspended or out of form players. If you watch the transfer activity you can see who is actively involved... and who not so much so.

The Pitch Howlers transfers broke down as follows. (listed in current order of the table)

    Al Abbas: 43
    Resuscitation FC: 35
    Hookers and Blow FC: 31
    indygunners: 11
    RandomScrubs: 12
    Gunners Up: 8
    Bundesbiers: 39
    Fresh2Death: 1

Hookers and Blow FC seemed to be the hard luck team. His 1838 pts should have translated into more wins.

    Indeed sir.

The last 13 minutes of Copa Del Ray.... disgraceful futbol. Shameful all the diving and excessive stupidity on both teams. One reason La Liga is not a top division.

    Altbiers...

Oh well, I guess this does mean that I will get to see the Kolschbiers and Altbiers play next season, just preferred it to be in the top league.

Bamberg won again today, securing survival with one game left. Our biggest rival, Schweinfurt, will get promoted to the same division/league so what a rivalry that will be.

Hoffenheim saved themselves by winning in Dortmund. Just real bad luck for Fortuna. They should have been able to hold 16th place and at least play in the Relegation playoff against Kaiserslautern. But no! BVB is obviously looking forward to the UEFA CL Final and didn't give a shyte about playing that Hoffenheim match.

As you predicted... the Kickers drew 1-1 against Darmstadt and managed to remain in the 3. Liga by a single point. This was waaaaay too close for comfort.

Good for the kickers. About 3/4 of the way thru the season, I found this website that shows highlights of all of the Regionalliga Bayern teams, so I can see the highlights of the Bamberg games. Check it out, it's quite good.

I've always liked the idea of buying a MLS club. I just didn't figure it would happen like this. It'll be a great place for the scrubs to get match playing experience in the summer.

Comrade V.L. Tycebrew. Why do you think they call those matches "Friendlies"? :p

Besides... Jogi probably still owed Klinsmann a favor.

There's the typical problem, we will never get any kudos for beating a good team. Sure, when we lost to Spain 4-0 in a friendly 2 years ago we got slammed on how bad we were even though we didn't have all of our starters. Now we beat Germany in a friendly and we get no credit. Hmpphhh.

And I don't care that Germany didn't play all of our starters, it's not like we asked them to. We deserve our due! :D

Yee-Haw! Well atleast we have some very important WC qualifiers coming up. June 7th and June 11th for the USA. It's very close so far. Mexico needs to right their ship. USA needs to look better too.

Some interesting races in the Euro qualifiers as well. Belgium and the Croats in Group A will be a good race for the top. Same with England and Montenegro in Group H and Spain and France in Group I.

Well the USA got an uncomfortable win in Jamaica to boost their efforts in the hexagonal.

Happy to see the Irish get a solid win over the Faroe Islands.

Looks good. Watching the Confederations Cup final?

    What a final. Sooo aggressive.

Brazil will be a force at home for the WC.

Yeah... I'm at work. The last couple of days have been really slow soccer wise.

What's your take on Mexico stumbling both in qualification and Confederations?

Well... it seems that they are not scoring very many goals. It will be interesting to see what the Gold Cup brings.

Will be interesting to see what team they field too. I saw the USA lineup and we are playing our B and C players. No starters that have played for our WC qualifying team except for DeMarcus Beasley. Will be interesting to see how our 2nd and 3rd stringers do in this tournament.
