Trade LT if it meant a SB title next year?

    Yes.

LT is probably my favorite Charger player ever, but I'm a fan of the team, and individual players come and go. If trading Rivers, Jamal, and LT meant a Superbowl title, I'd say goodbye right now.

    Correlation, causation?
How does trading LT absolutely lead to us in the superbowl?

    Goddamn it, just answer.

It's a hypothetical thread in case you couln't figure it out. The rules are simple: Trade LT, win title. Simple as that.

no, I don't thing sports would be fun (or winning the superbowl would be fun) if you knew the outcome

It could be lucrative though

ok, then yes. I'd trade LT for a Superbowl title.
Question, would we actually have to play the game? Or will Pittsburgh/San Francisco just trade us a Lombardi and then re-write the history books to say "San Diego?"

Ok, still no, I'd take my chances with LT

Here's one for you...No Rivers, LT or Merriman, but we get TO, Ocho Cinco, Pacman and Vick, but we win 2 superbowl?

Trade LT to the Patriots. They like has been Chargers. The Pats staff would give him another 3-4 1,000 yard seasons. Book it. :D

We all love Ladanain. But he's 30 years old now. And waining. Lets face it he is. He has a 8 million dollar contract for next year.

The chargers need to sign several also good players to a second contract in a year or two.

Plus the chargers don't have a second rounder. If we could get a 2nd rounder or possibly a 1st rounder in a trade that would help alot.

Its all about looking to next year and the future versus the past. TEam wise you should trade him. Loving the guy for loves sake you would keep him.

...Yes, I'd trade him. If he fetched additional picks or whatever. If it helped improve the team, absolutely. The cap is going to be unmanageable trying to resign Rivers, Merriman, Sproles and LT with all the loot AJ threw at way too many unproven players..

And yes Buck Blincoe...LT would probably saddle up next to Seau and Rodney and go on like an Energizer Rabbit, forever and ever :icon_evil: The bigger problem with that trade is AJ would probably throw in another 2nd.

Give the chargers 2 first rounders and we'll think about it. The good thing about a trade is the chargers are in control of where LT would go.

Let's not forget 2008 pro bowler, Wes Welker, cut by the Chargers after training camp in 2004.

I'd trade anyone for a SB trophy.

That's like asking would you give Norv a liftetime contract if it meant he'd win the SB every over year or some **** like that.

Marty cut him to keep his boy Vanover. That worked out well for us, didn't it?

We cut him after week 1. Main reason was because we had Tim Dwight on the roster and his cap cost was too much, and there was the possibility that Welker could slip to the PS.

...I loved Welker in college just like I loved Sproles. Played with hearts twice as big as their stature. With the way things have been going...I wouldn't be surprised to see Sproles wind up there too. Then Pioli will leave to another franchise and AJ will wind up as the Pats GM, working with his idol Bill Belichick.

I would give your left nut for a SB. LT would be long gone if a SB was assured.

uhh... yes. i would totally do it, i mean it could turn out to be a VERY lucrative investment. as much as i would love to see lt start and finish a lightning bolt, i think we could seriously get something out of it, bulk up our defense perhaps, go after dawkins cuz well have the coin, who knows. regardless of if it were to ever happen or not, LT is my favorite bolt next to seau and im thankful for what hes done for this team

I would even throw in some of my organs in the mix to insure a Lombardi Trophy and Rings for the San Diego Chargers.

problem with the pats is they cheated getting those trophys. Every nfl fan knows it. The only thing the pats will ever get from most real nfl fans is a spit in the face. And for any pats fan that sticks up for cheating a knee to the groin to a pats fan for being an dicklick ashwipe.
