This isn't a battle thread, just your opinion, one post per person so it doesn't spiral out of control and into the gutter.

I don't know how many members are here but it would be great to see mass participation.

    My opinion:

    1. Coaching and clock management were poorly executed in the second half, but, specifically the end of the fourth quarter.

    2. The Pats made more timely and impactful plays when the game was on the line.

    3. Poor decisions by players on the field, like the head butt penalty or the interception on 4th down that resulted in the fumble.

    Points off Turnovers.

Both teams turned the ball over a lot, but the Patriots capitalized off the turnovers.

I think the biggest key was that the Chargers let the Pats hang around and see light at the end of the tunnel.I think the Chargers going into a prevent defense at the end of the 1st half and letting the Pats pull within four points changed the complexion of the game.If you dont knock out NE early and you keep the game within reach for Brady and Co,they will usually pull out a win.

A lack of discipline and a lack of execution.

The Patriots didn't beat the Chargers, the Chargers beat the Chargers.

Our own WRs and DBs beat us with drops, dumbass penalties, and bonehead plays.

We pushed the Patriots around all day except at those two positions.

The Karmic imbalance from the Union Tribune didn't help either.

In the battle of Agincourt, the French had over 36000 men vs 9000 English. They were fresh while the English were tired. They had many mounted chargers vs opponentof mainly consist of ground troops. But the English had Henry V as their leader who gave them the famous speech "Band of Brothers" (per Shakespeare). The French lost the battle because of overconfidence and lack of discipline.

I can draw many pararllel incidents between this battle and the game Sunday.

One more thing, the outcome of a battle doesn't always go to the strongest, biggest, most talented participant. Why? Because there is always a weakness and it is up to the opponent to find that weakness and exploit it.

And please don't say the opponent didn't beat us but we beat ourselves. Yea, David didn't defeat Goliath. It was that bumbling giant forgot to cover this face for a mere second. He beat himself. The American didn't win the battle of Midway. The Japanese gave the victory to us.

A loss is a loss and be gracious to accept it.

As I remember it, a Japanese General stated "I believe we have awaken a sleeping giant". That was overconfidence and lack of preparation.

Yes, indeed Admiral Yamamoto did said that. Then a Chargers fan also said that the giant did awake this year but fell back to sleep again last Sunday.

Dropped passes and Brain freezes by a few player. Game plan was basically good on both sides of the ball.

We made so many dumbass moves that we would have lost to anyone. And that's including Detroit.

stupidity. they lost becuase the chargers followed good plays with stupid ones.

You can't give any team second chances the way we did. Especially in the playoffs. Any team with the exception of the Raiders is capable of capitalizing on those mistakes if given enough opportunities.

Stupid penalties, dropped passes, turnovers, and a grounds crew that re-sodded the field at a LOUSY time so that people kept slipping and falling:censored:

And that's all I have to say about THAT.:icon_evil:

It wasn't Charger coaching, it was stupid play by guy's who know better and let the emotion of this game pass them by. The Pat's have been there and done that, our young and up and coming team sucked wind when it mattered most.

This is not combat, players are not carted off the field to never be seen or heard from again. It's a damn game.:bolt2:
